synoptic project: Proditiophobia/Toad Out of The Hole

Project Brief:

The project brief I have chosen is to create a game with heavy emphasis on avatar design and customisation, varying from skin colour to hair style. I have always been a fan of making my characters look fancy, as identical as possible, or just plain wacky in the games I play. Whether that’s painting my power armour in Fallout 4 or a robot arm in Halo Reach, customisation is something I hold dear to my heart in videogames.

We have been tasked with making a pitch for our games individually and whichever one is liked the most will become the project for a set amount of people.

My Idea:

After a long while of thinking and playing games like No Man’s Sky, Outer Worlds and Fallout 2, I have decided I would like to pitch a 2D isometric RPG game with heavy emphasis on player choice, customisation and ship cosmetics. The game will have a brutal story which teaches the moral that even the closest of allies can betray you and not the strongest fleet of ships or amount of wealth can stop it.
