Animating using Maya

using the Maya Classic workspace, there is a sort of timeline at the bottom of the screen. By clicking one, moving the object and pressing the S key we can create a keyframe for an animation.

By using the timeline and ‘S’ key tool, I have manipulated a pendulum to swing. I have attempted to have a slow in slow out effect. the most challenging part was probably finding the no character selection, as giving each of the parts separate timelines was confusing and annoying, so this tool was useful.

Today we animated a bouncing ball. Here’s what I accomplished:

I finished making the ‘lamp jump’ animation and I have to say its the best one I’ve animated so far. I’ll be going back to try and finish my ball animation, in the meantime here’s my lamp!
